VIDEO: D-League's Reno Bighorns hit record 31 3-pointers in a game
The Sacramento Kings have rolled out some radical basketball ideas over the past several months, and one of the great things about having a D-League affiliate is that you have a platform for working those ideas out.
As such, the Kings' affiliate, the Reno Bighorns, play at a blinding pace, run relentless full-court presses, occasionally experiment with 4-on-5 defensive sets and launch a ridiculous number of 3-pointers.
That system hit a new peak on Saturday, when the Bighorns hit a record 31 triples - breaking their own record of 28 set two months ago - on 54 attempts. That's an average of one 3-ball hoisted every 53 seconds.

Somehow, they still managed to knock down nearly 60 percent of them, and the only Bighorn who saw the floor and didn't hit at least one 3-pointer was 7-foot-5, 360-pound center Sim Bhullar.
Here's hoping the Bighorns' parent franchise catches up soon.
