Flames' Gaudreau wanted to light stick on fire in Skills Competition
The NHL poured cold water on Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau's plans at the Skills Competition on Saturday.
If Gaudreau had his way, he would have provided a spark to the Breakaway Challenge. Literally.

Department of Player Safety director Patrick Burke revealed that Gaudreau asked him for permission, a request that wasn't exactly embraced by the league's legal team.
Unfortunately I had to be Director of Funland Security on that one after every attorney in our offices had simultaneous heart attacks.

Burke figured it would remain a secret until Gaudreau announced his foiled plans on the broadcast.
