Colts' Allen: 'Deflategate' a non-issue; Pats could've 'played with soap' and won
Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen says that "Deflategate" is being blown out of proportion.
The growing scandal surrounds allegations that the New England Patriots played with illegally underinflated footballs in the AFC championship.
Allen, whose team was blown out by the Patriots on Sunday, took to his Twitter account early Wednesday to express his thoughts:
@NFLonFOX not a story. They could have played with soap for balls and beat us. Simply the better team. We have to continue to build! #BTM

It's unclear if Allen's opinion is shared by his Colts teammates.
