It's a little-known fact that Phoenix Suns high-flyer Gerald Green is missing a part of his right index finger. The Suns have chosen to celebrate that fact, introducing a four-fingered foam hand for sale for $12 starting Tuesday.

Are you ready?? The Gerald Green Foam Finger arrives on Friday! It will be available for $12 at the game on 1/13 #sunsvscavs ?? #arenaexclusive #superstoked #getexcited

Green had the digit amputated after an accident as a kid that he previously didn't speak very openly about. It happened in sixth grade, when Green got a ring he was wearing caught on a makeshift basketball net in a doorway, with his nail catching and ripping his finger to the bone.

In 2012, Green said he would often hide his hand, even tucking it in his pants as he hit the stage on draft night in 2005, and that he had insecurities about it from childhood to the pros. Now 28 years old and secure in his role, he is apparently willing to embrace the injury and allow the team to market it.

In 40 games, Green is averaging 14 points, and remains one of the league's premier aerial artists.
