Report: Chad Billingsley has multiple offers

Chad Billingsley hasn't thrown a pitch in the major leagues since April 2013 due to numerous setbacks from Tommy John surgery, but the beleaguered right-hander has still received "multiple offers" this offseason, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Billingsley, an All-Star in 2009, became a free agent after the Los Angeles Dodgers declined the veteran's $14-million option for 2015 earlier this winter. Though he was once considered among the most reliable starters in the National League, Billingsley has logged just seven professional innings since having his ulnar collateral ligament replaced in April 2013.

The 30-year-old attempted to rehab his arm last season, but elbow discomfort resurfaced after two outings in the High-A California League and a subsequent MRI revealed a partially torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Billingsley opted for season-ending surgery before the Dodgers officially cut ties with him in October.

Billingsley last pitched in the major leagues on a regular basis in 2012, when he crafted a 3.55 ERA (107 ERA+) with a career-best 2.84 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 25 starts for Los Angeles.
