Seahawks clinch NFC West title, home-field advantage with win over Rams

The Seattle Seahawks clinched the NFC West title and home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs with a 20-6 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

It is the second consecutive season in which the Seahawks accomplished the feat.

Here's what you need to know:

  • The Seahawks did not allow a passing touchdown in the game, they have not done so in six of their last seven games.
  • Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was held without a touchdown for the second time this season.
  • It was a tale of two halves for the Seahawks, they trailed 6-0 at halftime, but scored 20 unanswered in the second half.
  • The Seahawks outgained the Rams by over 100 yards, 354 to 245. 
  • Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin scored on a 49-yard interception return.
  • Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch got his 17th total touchdown of the season with his 9-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter.
  • Rams quarterback Shaun Hill finished the game with 243 passing yards and two interceptions.
