Report: Josh Gordon to file grievance over suspension; Browns' frustrations growing

Dale Zanine / USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will file a grievance with the team regarding his suspension for the regular-season finale against the Baltimore Ravens for a violation of team rules, according to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com.

The suspension will keep Gordon, who was suspended 10 games earlier in the year for violating the league's substance abuse policy, from being on the team's roster for a sixth game, preventing him from accruing another season towards free agency.

According to La Canfora, some within the organization believe Gordon "has to go," as there are concerns that his behavior will rub off on the young players on the roaster.

The team's previous regime is believed to have tried to trade Gordon on multiple occasions, only to be vetoed by ownership.

With a long offseason in front of him, and the possibility that another failed drug test could put his career in jeopardy, La Canfora expects the Browns to move Gordon and receive whatever compensation they can get.
