Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel left Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Browns head coach Mike Pettine said after the game Manziel could have continued to play, but wouldn't have been mobile, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Pettine added that he didn't know the severity of Manziel's injury, but the play in which he was hurt was a designed run.

Manziel also spoke about the hit after the game.

"I got up to run," Manziel said, according to Steve Doerschuk of CantonRep.com. "As soon as I took the first step I felt like I was cramping."

Manziel completed 3 of 8 passes for 32 yards, adding three yards on two carries prior to exiting.
