Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians announced Monday that Ryan Lindley would be starting the team's game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, and he provided a timetable for quarterback Drew Stanton's return from a right knee injury.

According to Arians, Stanton could return to the field in 2-4 weeks, which is in line with initial speculation he could miss around a month.

Until Stanton is ready to return, the Cardinals will continue to trot out Lindley, with a little Logan Thomas sprinkled in.

The Cardinals are currently the top seed in the NFC, which would give them a bye in the first round of the playoffs if they can hold on. This means they wouldn't play their first postseason game until the weekend of Jan. 11.

For his career, Lindley has thrown zero touchdowns and seven interceptions.
