Matt Barnes's temper tantrum is going to cost him.
The NBA announced Saturday that Barnes has been fined $25,000 for kicking a water bottle into the stands and using profane language against fans in Washington late in the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' Friday night loss to the Wizards.
Barnes has logged over 27 minutes per game for the Clippers this season, averaging 8.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting above 35 percent from 3-point range for the first time in eight years.
Back in 2009, Barnes was fined for throwing the ball into the stands following a game. This latest fine is the ninth time that Barnes has been fined or suspended by the league.
