Canucks president Linden not happy about NHL's handling of Robidas hit on Matthias

Vancouver Canucks president Trevor Linden isn't happy about how the NHL's Department of Player Safety has handled Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Stephane Robidas' hit on Canucks forward Shawn Matthias.

Robidas caught Matthias with an elbow to the head on Saturday night and was assessed a minor penalty. The Department of Player Safety decided that the play didn't warrant any further supplementary discipline, though Matthias was injured on the play and hasn't played since.

"I am," Linden responded when asked by Sportsnet's Dan Murphy whether he was surprised that the league didn't suspend or fine Robidas. "I talked with Stephane (Quintal) and I told him we weren't very happy about it.

"I'm just concerned about where the consistency is going," continued Linden. "Obviously we had a player injured on a headshot that was pretty easy to see."
