VIDEO: Top 5 highlights of the week

Russ Isabella / USA Today Sports

This past week saw yet another busy week in the Association. In the East, the Toronto Raptors surged to a league-best 13-2 record, before losing swingman DeMar DeRozan to a torn groin. In the West, Russell Westbrook made his return, signalling the waking of a sleeping giant in the Oklahoma City Thunder.

But a lot of ball was played, too. Here are your highlights of the week:

5. Giannis Antetokounmp is not of this Earth

Raise your hand if you have ever seen anything like this before. Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to get all the way to the basket without using a dribble inside the 3-point line. The Greek countryman's variation on a Euro step has been dubbed as the "Gyro step."

4. Again, Giannis is not of this Earth

Yes, Antetokounmpo claims back-to-back spots on the top highlight list with yet another innovative move. This time, Antetokounmpo swerves into a hopstep, before elevating over fellow Greek national Kostas Papanikolaou for a crazy one-handed jam.

3. Gerald Green's nasty reverse

With his high-flyer act, Phoenix Suns shooting guard Gerald Green could easily fill this list each week with his ridiculously filthy dunks.

This is our pick of the week. Green managed to throw down a sick reverse dunk on the baseline all while beating the expiring shot clock.

2. Russell Westbrook is back

The injury bug has made a buffet out of the Thunder this season, as both Kevin Durant and Westbrook have been sidelined for much of the season due to a broken foot and a broken hand.

Luckily, Westbrook managed to make his return from a broken hand Friday. Judging by the way he crammed on the rim, Westbrook looks to be feeling no ill-effects from his injury.

1. Kenneth Faried's slam riles up Nate Robinson

The Manimal's incredible dunk on its own is worthy of the top spot. But the slam doubled as an exorcism of sorts, as teammate Nate Robinson looked to have lost his mind following Faried's wicked throwdown.
