Gilbert Arenas on Derrick Rose: 'A Lambo engine on spare tires'
Gilbert Arenas knows what Derrick Rose is going through.
The former NBA All-Star went from one of the league's most electric players to an oft-criticized afterthought thanks to a string of knee injuries after a torn MCL suffered in 2007.
After three straight All-Star appearances and All-NBA nods from the 2004-05 season through the 2006-07 campaign, Arenas played in only 134 of a possible 394 games over the final five years of his career, suiting up for his last game at age 30.
With Rose, the youngest MVP in NBA history, now dealing with his own almost unbelievable string of injuries, Arenas took to Instagram on Friday to show his support and empathy.
You'll have to weed through some profanity and plenty of grammatical errors, but Arenas' assertion that Rose has a Lamborghini engine on spare tires may be the best take on Derrick Rose yet.
