Penguins sign Fleury to 4-year, $23 million contract extension

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to a four-year contract extension.

The deal is worth $23 million, or an average annual value of $5.75 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Fleury is 7-2-0 with a 1.89 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage this season. He is coming off back-to-back shutouts, a feat he accomplished for the first time in his career.

The netminder is 295-171-46 all-time with a .261 GAA and a .911 save percentage.
