VIDEO: Maryland and Penn State players scuffle before game
Tensions were high prior to kickoff Saturday at Beaver Stadium, where a number of Maryland and Penn State players got physical with one another.
Just when it appeared as though order had been restored, Maryland was disinterested in conducting the customary pregame handshakes.
In addition, an unsuspecting official took a palm to the face during the scuffle.

After the game, Maryland head coach Randy Edsall apologized on behalf of his team.
"That is not who we are," Edsall said, according to ESPN.com's Josh Moyer. "Our emotions got the best of us, and we've got to be above that. So I just want to say ... I apologize for that. Feel bad for that."
Penn State head coach James Franklin downplayed his team's handshake stunt, and said he wasn't offended by it.
