Giants' Jon Beason to undergo season-ending surgery

The New York Giants announced Monday that linebacker Jon Beason will undergo season-ending surgery to repair his injured right foot.

Beason suffered the injury during organized team activities and revealed recently that he has been playing without a ligament in his big toe.

After reaggravating the injury in the Giants' Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Beason met with a foot specialist to determine whether surgery was needed. 

Beason recorded 11 tackles in four games this season.
