Report: Rams, Raiders could move to Los Angeles in 2015 if they secure financing, stadium

The St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders have both explored plans to move to Los Angeles, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora

Both the Raiders' and Rams' leases end after the 2014 season. It would be the second stint in Los Angeles for both teams. The Raiders played in L.A. from 1982-1994, while the Rams played there from 1946-1994.

Most of the potential relocation plans center around a plot of land owned by Rams owner Stan Kroenke in Hollywood Park. According to La Canfora, if the Rams worked in conjunction with the league to implement a finance, stadium and development plan, they could get the necessary 24 votes from NFL owners to move.

"This isn't happening unless the NFL wants it to happen," a league source said, according to La Canfora's report.

The last NFL relocation occured in 1997 when the Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee, briefly becoming the Tennessee Oilers before re-naming the team as the Tennessee Titans in 1999.
