PHOTO: Amar'e Stoudemire bathes in red wine
With the New York Knicks off Wednesday, power forward Amar'e Stoudemire decided to get some rest and relaxation.
By bathing in red wine. No, seriously, he took a red-wine bath, and posted a photo of it on his Instagram.

There's a lot to unpack here.
A red-wine bath is said to help slow aging due to the antioxidants found in the polyphenols of red wine, and the tartaric acid is thought to lighten skin. It can also clean pores and improve circulation. And all you need is a 16-ounce glass mixed into your bath, apparently.
Stoudemire also mentions the eighth day feast, which, best we can tell, is unrelated to the wine soak. He's referring to Sukkot, a Jewish holiday that lasts eight days (seven in some places) and culminated Wednesday. Stoudemire, as a reminder, converted to Judaism in 2010.
A wine bath. For real. Amar'e is an interesting dude.
