Gareth Bale is one of the fastest players on the planet, and has been roasting defenders with ease - while playing for both Tottenham and Real Madrid - for some time now.

Muhamed Besic proved on Friday that, contrary to popular belief, Bale can indeed be caught in a foot-race by other human beings.

In a Euro 2016 qualifier between Wales and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Everton midfielder not only outpaced the Welsh star, he topped off the impressive display by putting in a wonderful slide tackle to win possession and leave Bale up in arms (and likely in shock).

Usain Bolt may want to reconsider his stance that Bale is the fastest player in the world.
