After leaving in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain and a sprained MCL, CSN California reports.
It remains to be seen how long the injuries will keep him out of action, but the bye week ahead certainly comes at a good time for Carr and the Raiders.
Veteran quarterback Matt Schaub, who the Raiders traded a sixth-round pick for this past offseason, would likely take over as the starter if Carr is forced to miss any games.
