Anytime a Super Bowl rematch takes place, things are bound to get heated on the field.

Such was the case on Sunday, as Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was fined $8,268 for throwing an elbow in a 26-20 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks, according to Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith.

Talib denied throwing an elbow in spite of the video evidence.

"I didn't drop an elbow," Talib said via the Denver Post. "I hit the pile. The momentum of the pile made me fall to the left, and I just fell on the ground. I didn't drop an elbow. That's how I saw it. ... They fine guys for elbows and stuff nowadays."

Talib has been an excellent acquisition for the Broncos, shoring up a secondary that was prone to giving up big plays down field last year.
