Raiders' coach Allen isn't worried about job security, he's worried about the Patriots

After being outscored 49-28 in a pair of losses to the Houston Texans and New York Jets, it's safe to say that the Oakland Raiders have struggled to find their footing thus far this season.

With the Raiders set to face the heavily-favored New England Patriots on Sunday, head coach Dennis Allen was facing a lot of questions about his job security during Wednesday afternoon's presser (via The San Jose Mercury News).

Q: I’m sure you’ve seen or have been made aware of the speculation about your job, the general manager’s job … Does that matter to you? Do you disregard it?

ALLEN: What matters is getting ready for the New England Patriots. And that’s all I’m going to focus on.

Q: Do you think you’re on a short-term timeframe now?

ALLEN: Listen, I’m getting ready for the New England Patriots.

Although Allen claims to only be worried about the task at hand, his 8-26 record at the helm suggests that he'll likely be on a short leash should his team struggle through another losing season.
