Georgia's Todd Gurley got away with a headbutt Saturday

Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia running back Todd Gurley added another solid performance to his Heisman Trophy application this season in a loss to South Carolina.

One play, however, showed the junior standout doesn't take kindly to opponents group-celebrating in front of him.

Gurley headbutted Gamecocks linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams after a play in which several Gamecocks defenders celebrated in front of the running back. South Carolina's Jordan Diggs then gave Gurley a headbutt of his own, albeit of lesser force, and Gurley pushed the helmets of two Gamecocks away from his face.

Gurley finished the day with 131 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown. The Gamecocks took the game 38-35, gaining nine more first downs than Georgia throughout the day.
