Eagles like how officials kept up with their pace during Week 1

NFL officials had a tough time keeping up with the Philadelphia Eagles' uptempo offense during Chip Kelly's first season at the helm in 2013.

It was a complaint the Eagles frequently leveled against the referees, claiming that their inability to keep up was limiting the team's offensive potential.

"The officials definitely limited how fast we could go numerous times last year," Eagles center Jason Kelce said (via Philly.com). "I think the NFL probably will change in the next few years."

Kelce, however, was impressed with the officiating crew, led by Jeff Triplette, that oversaw the Eagles 34-17 Week 1 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"That was a great officiating crew," Kelce said. "They did an outstanding job of getting the ball set and letting us play fast. It was really good."
