USC investigating claims that Josh Shaw did not hurt ankles saving nephew

The story behind Josh Shaw's latest ankle injuries has taken a surprise turn - one involving a possible cover-up.
After it was initially reported that Shaw suffered two high ankle sprains leaping from a balcony to save his young nephew who can't swim, reports claiming the story to be a fake began circulating.
Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News reported on the story earlier today:
