The 27-year-old left-hander appeared quite disoriented after getting hit, stumbling awkwardly around the pitching mound before crumbling to the ground. Jennings' teammates and the Marlins trainer immediately converged on the mound to attend to the injured southpaw, who was given a prompt examination to check for a possible concussion.
Jennings was carted off the field shortly thereafter amid concern from both teams.
Jennings raised one hand to recognize crowd, which gave him standing ovation as he was taken off field.
