Oklahoma's Bob Stoops stands by criticism of SEC: 'Get over it'
Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops created a bit of a stir throughout the college football world when he commented on Texas A&M's non-conference schedule, calling the Aggies' opponents "a bunch of toughies."
Stoops clearly came into the day prepared to make the comment, ringing off the Aggies' non-conference opponents from memory, and he continues to stand by those comments, as he made clear Saturday.
Asked about the SEC's poor reception to his comments, Stoops had this to say, via George Schroeder:
Well, get over it. And again, where am I lying?
The Sooners are scheduled to face only one SEC squad this upcoming season - a home date against Tennessee on Sept. 13. Though, if the team were to qualify for the College Football Playoff, as many expect them to, they may find themselves squaring off against another SEC opponent.
