Rice was suspended by the league on Thursday for violating the league's personal conduct policy in light of his February arrest and alleged involvement in the assault of his wife (then fiancee), Janay Palmer.
Palmer, reportedly made a "convincing case" to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in a June hearing.
Rice was not expected to appeal the punishment.
