Report: Ravens' Rice opts not to appeal 2-game suspension

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

The three-day period given to Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice to appeal his two-game NFL suspension has now passed, and Rice has reportedly chosen not to do so.

Rice was suspended by the league on Thursday for violating the league's personal conduct policy in light of his February arrest and alleged involvement in the assault of his wife (then fiancee), Janay Palmer.

Palmer, reportedly made a "convincing case" to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in a June hearing.

Rice was not expected to appeal the punishment.
