Panthers exercise compliance buyout on Jovanovski
The Florida Panthers announced Monday that the club has used a compliance buyout on defenseman Ed Jovanovski.
“We sincerely thank Ed for his seven years of service and dedication to the Florida Panthers and the South Florida community,” said general manager Tallon. “He is a true professional in every sense and is well respected throughout the league for the way he handles himself both on and off the ice. This was not an easy decision and we wish him success and happiness in his future endeavors.”
Jovanovski, 38, spent the past three seasons with the Panthers and served as team captain. In 2013-14, he was limited to 37 games and registered one goal and four assists.
