Walker, who was born in Wales but grew up in Australia, recorded 11 points in 43 games in 2013-14 with the Hersey Bears - Washington's AHL affiliate - after signing a one-year contract. The 20-year-old also played in the USHL and the Czech Republic.

Walker did not make the trip to Philadelphia for the draft, but that won't stop him from celebrating at home.
Message received from Australian client Nathan Walker, drafted in the 3rd round by the Caps, "We're going nuts in my house, I'm speechless."
