VIDEO: Spurs' Popovich counts the rings at championship celebration
Gregg Popovich was at his very best on Wednesday as the San Antonio Spurs floated down the River Walk to the Alamodome as part of the victory parade to celebrate their fifth NBA championship.
Popovich, who rarely says much but has a very dry wit about him, was sure to count out the titles on his fingers to the crowd. Pulling a page out of the book of the five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time WCW champion Booker T, Popovich counted the fingers aloud, surely a nod to the "Not one, not two..." speech from when the Miami Heat's Big Three first came together.
NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard was also a standout at the parade, showing far more personality than we're used to seeing from him in addressing the crowd.
Other than that, it was more or less the love-in you'd expect, and deservedly so.
