Martin Brodeur: Canadiens 'not too much on my radar' for next season

New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur isn't sure where he'll play next season, but says it likely won't be with his hometown Montreal Canadiens.

The 42-year-old netminder dismissed the notion of finishing his career in his place of birth.

"They’re not too much on my radar," Brodeur told Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record.

Brodeur said he would prefer to remain in the U.S., "playing in the type of markets I’m used to playing in." 

The Canadiens appear to be set in goal with Carey Price entrenched as the unquestioned starter and either Dustin Tokarski or Peter Budaj in the backup role.

Brodeur said beside the Canadiens, he is "open to a lot of different things."

"We’ll see," he said. "I’m in no hurry. It might not happen early on or it might happen early on that I might make my decision."
