Following the Los Angeles Kings' Stanley Cup victory over the New York Rangers in Game 5 on Friday night, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman announced that Kings forward, Corsi god, and the Stanley Cup Final's leading scorer Justin Williams was the Conn Smythe Trophy winner for 2014.

The Conn Smythe Trophy, named after the long-time Maple Leafs owner and awarded for the first time in 1965, is given annually to the player judged most valuable to his team during the Stanley Cup playoffs.

In 26 games this postseason, Williams managed nine goals and 16 assists for 25 total points. He was particularly dominant in the Stanley Cup Final, where he scored two goals and added five assists for seven points in five games.
