Seahawks OC Bevell: 'We are going to be running back by committee'

Attention, Marshawn Lynch fantasy owners.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell made an interesting comment on Wednesday night at a team event.

"We are going to be running back by committee," Bevell said via NFL.com. "We really like what Christine Michael is doing right now. ... He has breakaway speed and power behind his pads."

Bevell could be sending a subtle message to Lynch, who hasn't appeared at OTAs. Or they very well may be high on Michael after spending a second-round pick on him in 2013. They also have Robert Turbin on the roster, who has seen carries here and there over the past two campaigns.

Lynch is still a feature back, having posted more than 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground last season. However, he's closing in on 30 years old and with his power running style, saving some hits on his body could be the key to keep him running at a high level for as long as possible.
