Keselowski wins the pole for Sunday's Dover Cup race
Team Penske came out to today’s qualifying session in full force with Brad Keselowski winning the pole, and teammate Joey Logano starting in 3rd place in Sunday’s Cup race at Dover International Speedway.
Keselowski ran just 2 laps in the final 10-minute qualifying round, and sealed the deal on the first lap, with a speed of 164.444MPH and a time of 21.892 seconds.
Kyle Busch, who is competing in the Truck, Nationwide and Cup races qualified 2nd. He’s been fast all weekend, leading the Truck Series speeds in both practice sessions, and winning the pole (rained out) for Friday night’s Truck race.
With 3 minutes to go in the first qualifying round, AJ Allmendinger came out of nowhere and knocked Dale Earnhardt Jr. out of the 12th spot, entering the JTG Daugherty Racing driver into the final round.
