Rob Gronkowski says knee is 'coming along good'
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is not yet ready to participate in organized team activities, but said he is progressing well in his recovery from a torn ACL and MCL.
"It's coming along good," Gronkowski said Wednesday during an NFL Play60 event, via CSNNE.com. "Rehabbing every day. Improving every single week. That's all I can ask for. As long as I'm improving every single week, that's all I can ask for. I'm just doing my own thing, just getting healthy on the side."
Gronkowski's positive outlook hasn't gone unnoticed by Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who spoke about the impact the tight end has had on the rest of the team.
"I've never seen Gronk, in all the time with us, ever say or do anything that had a negative overtone," Kraft said. "He is always up and when you are building a team atmosphere with people from different backgrounds and different places and it's a physical game, having someone like Gronk in the system is uplifting, especially if he is on the field all the time."
