Cavaliers win 2014 NBA draft lottery, will pick 1st followed by Bucks and 76ers
For the second year in a row and the third time in the past four seasons, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA draft lottery and will have the first overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft on June 26 in Brooklyn.
The Cavaliers had just a 1.7 percent chance of securing the top selection, leading at least one writer to shout "Cavspiracy!" in their office.
They will be followed by Milwaukee and Philadelphia (the NBA's lottery selects the top three choices, after which the order is determined by the reverse order of the final standings), who had the first- and second-best odds, respectively.

The top three selections in the draft are assumed to be Andrew Wiggins, Joel Embiid and Jabari Parker in some order depending on team preference.
This is a killer result for the Detroit Pistons, who slid from No. 8 to No. 9, which means their pick will now be conveyed to the Charlotte Hornets. The New Orleans Pelicans (to Philadelphia) and New York Knicks (to Orlando via Denver) will also lose their first-round selections.
The Cavaliers won the draft lottery in 2013 as well and selected Anthony Bennett out of UNLV. In 2011, they again won the lottery and took Kyrie Irving from Duke. Current speculation is that they are leaning towards Duke's Jabari Parker or Kansas' Andrew Wiggins this year.
