In Game 1 of the Western Conference final series between the Los Angeles Kings and the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon, the defending champion Blackhawks drew first blood.
Blackhawks winger Brandon Saad opened the scoring on the power-play, when he screened Kings goalie Jonathan Quick and deftly deflected a Nick Leddy shot past the Los Angeles netminder:

The Blackhawks received their power-play opportunity after Brandon Bollig "snowed" Quick, and was roughed up by Kings defenseman Alec Martinez for his trouble. So Bollig both avoided the minor penalty for "unsportsmanlike conduct," trolled his opponent and, as a fourth-liner, directly helped manufacture the opening goal.
