Trouba, drafted ninth overall in 2012, has two points in his first eight NHL games and was averaging over 20 minutes of ice-time per game before suffering the neck injury in a game against the Blues on Oct. 18.
It is unclear when Trouba will be ready for game action. Winnipeg begins a five-game road trip Monday at New Jersey.
