Goodell: I want both L.A. and London

With the NFL playing a second game in London this Sunday (and with three London games set for next season) the topic of a permanent team came up when NFL commissioner Roger Goodwell was asked by a fan.

The fan wanted to know whether it was more likely the NFL would put a team in London or Los Angeles.  Apparently the answer is both.

"It doesn't matter," Goodell said, via ESPN.  "I'd love to be back in Los Angeles, but it has to be done the right way, we have to do it successfully...

"I want both (London and L.A.), but it doesn't matter which one is first."

The NFL hasn't had a team in L.A. since 1995 when the Rams moved to St. Louis and the Raiders returned to Oakland.

Goodell also said on Saturday that while there was has been talk of a potential Super Bowl in London, that wouldn't likely happen unless there was a team already based in the city.
