Henrik Lundqvist teases new mask design
In addition to being extremely easy on the eyes, Henrik Lundqvist has been far and away the NHL's most consistently elite goaltender over the course of his career. He'll enter this season with a new look, but don't worry, it's just a new mask and has nothing to do with his high-standard of dress or wavy flow.
The Swedish goaltender teased his new mask design on social media channels Monday morning, sharing an image of the new mask on Twitter:
2 days to camp.. Summer really flew by, but who cares, hockey is back! 1st look of the season, what do you think? pic.twitter.com/FxpjtxGdei

Lundqvist teased a couple of additional images on Instagram as well:
From the teaser images we can tell that Lady Liberty will feature prominently on both sides of the mask, while a "King Henrik #30" logo will emblazon Lundqvist's chin.
The blue background features stormy weather and lightning, while a faded Rangers logo rises from behind the Lady Liberty face on both sides of the mask. Meanwhile a big white sprite of sorts will highlight Lundqvist's signature mug.
The mask is pretty simple, but when you're as good at dressing yourself and putting your body in front of vulcanized rubber as Lundqvist is: a simple, classic look is all you really need.
