Babbitt acted as a stretch four for Portland in 2012-13, averaging 3.9 points (on 36.8 percent shooting), 2.2 boards, and 1.0 three-pointers in 11.8 minutes over 62 games.

After coach Terry Stotts named Victor Claver the primary stretch four in early March, Babbitt's role tailed off, as he appeared in just 15 of the final 22 games of the season. Furthermore, despite attempting more treys than in his second campaign, his success rate fell from 43.0 to 34.8 percent, likely the result of a drastically different rotation under Stotts. General manager Neil Olshey may still bring back the unrestricted free agent this summer, but considering LaMarcus Aldridge takes up the bulk of the minutes at power forward and Claver is earning a rookie wage, it's highly unlikely that Babbitt gets another turn with the Blazers.
