Report: Cardinals considering addition of Blaine Gabbert

The Arizona Cardinals are in talks with free-agent quarterback Blaine Gabbert, a source told Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Gabbert started five games for the San Francisco 49ers last season, throwing for 925 yards with seven total touchdowns and six interceptions in his third year with the team.
The 27-year-old was the 10th overall pick in the 2011 draft and would compete for a backup job if signed by the Cardinals.
Carson Palmer has been cemented as the Cardinals' starter while 2016 backups Drew Stanton and Zac Dysert remain on the roster and undrafted free agent Trevor Knight was added after the draft.
