Report: Conley took polygraph test, administrator believes he's innocent
A team interested in selecting Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley in the first round of the NFL draft requested he submit to a polygraph test by a certified administrator, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Conley reportedly passed the test.
"I just completed the polygraph examination of Mr. Conley; a formal report will follow," the administrator said in an email to ESPN's Josina Anderson. "Regarding the sexual assault allegations stemming from the reported incident of 4-8/9-17 at the Westin in Cleveland, it is my opinion he did not commit the sexual assault as alleged, thus is telling you the truth in his version of fact."
Conley is accused of raping a woman at a Cleveland hotel the night of April 8. He has not been charged with a crime and has strongly denied the allegations, saying eyewitnesses and video evidence will support his innocence.
He was widely expected to be a first-round pick before the allegations surfaced.
