North Carolina's Berry, Pinson, Bradley to test draft waters

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

A trio of players from North Carolina's national championship-winning team could be NBA bound.

Tar Heels guard Joel Berry, as well as forwards Theo Pinson and Tony Bradley have all declared for the draft without agents, the school announced Monday. By not hiring representation, all three could return to North Carolina if they don't like their draft prospects.

"We fully support our players taking this step of being evaluated by NBA teams to see where they stand in relation to the draft," head coach Roy Williams said. "All three players have options to do what is best for their careers and going through the evaluation process helps them make the best decision available to each of them."

Berry was named the Most Outsanding Player of the Final Four and averaged nearly 15 points per game last season. Pinson and Bradley averaged 6.1 and 7.1 points, respectively.

Each will have until May 24 to decide if they officially want to turn pro or come back to the Tar Heels.
