Report: Bills' Kouandjio detained after telling police to shoot him
Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio was found near the scene of an accident in Western New York on Tuesday, not fully clothed and in a field after climbing an electrical fence, Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News reports.
Police suspect Kouandjio pulled off of Route 400 in Elma, N.Y., after approaching the scene of an accident, which already included officers and emergency responders. When an Erie County Sheriff's deputy subsequently found him in a nearby field, Kouandjio yelled, "Shoot me!"
The 23-year-old veteran of three seasons was taken to Erie County Medical Center for observation.
"We are aware of the matter involving Cyrus and are carefully monitoring his condition and gathering more information," the Bills said in a statement. "We don't have all the details, so we won't have any further comment at this time."
