Florida's Robinson pens goodbye letter after reportedly signing with agent

The end of Devin Robinson's collegiate career appears to be here, as the junior is expected to sign with an agent ahead of the 2017 NBA Draft, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, citing a source.

Robinson originally declared for the draft on March 31, but hadn't planned to hire an agent in order to preserve his chances of returning to Florida for his senior season. By doing so now, he'll forgo his remaining college eligibility.

Robinson later posted a letter to Twitter, thanking his supporters as he aims to turn professional at this year's NBA draft.

"The decision was not easy for me; in fact, it was one of the hardest decisions I have faced," Robinson said. "I will be leaving a place that has become my second home.

"However, the time has come for me to pursue new opportunities as a professional in the NBA. I know I am ready for this next step and I am personally excited for all the new challenges that will be presented with this decision," Robinson later added.

Starting all but one of Florida's 36 games this past season, Robinson averaged 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds while helping the Gators to an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA tournament,
