Following the successful procedure, the team revealed that Bartra will be sidelined for "several weeks."

Bartra, 25, also posted a brief message to his Instagram followers, saying he's feeling "better" while passing along well wishes to his Borussia Dortmund teammates ahead of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final encounter with AS Monaco.

Hello everybody! As you can see I am doing much better. Thank you everybody for all your support and your messages! All my strength to my team mates, supporters and fans and to BVB for tonight's match!

The incident occurred just kilometers from the Westfalenstadion, when explosives were detonated near the team bus, causing several windows to shatter.
