Report: Seahawks want 1st- and mid-round picks to move Sherman

Any team interested in capitalizing on Richard Sherman's apparent availability will likely be forced to pay up in a big way.

The Seattle Seahawks would require both a first-round pick and a mid-round selection to consider parting with their star cornerback, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.

No team, Garafolo adds, has come close to meeting that desired price tag.

It remains to be seen whether desperation kicks in, or the Seahawks' demands come down, before the draft.

Considering both team officials and Sherman have conceded a deal is unlikely, though, it doesn't seem like there would be any issues with the sides continuing their relationship.

Sherman, 29, has two seasons remaining on the four-year, $56-million extension he signed in 2014.

The perennial Pro Bowler continued to play at a high level last season despite a knee injury down the stretch, racking up four interceptions, 13 passes defensed, and 58 tackles while starting all 16 games.
