Damian Lillard continued his torrid second half Saturday night, shredding the Utah Jazz for 26 points in the first quarter. He got virtually all his points by either pulling up from deep or using the threat of his 3-point shot to blow by defenders and get to the rim.
He had all but eight of the Trail Blazers' first-quarter points, and his tally tied the franchise record for points in any quarter, a mark Lillard himself set back in 2014.
He also staked the Blazers to a 14-point lead, in a crucial game as they look to hold off the Denver Nuggets and secure a playoff berth.
